NEET UG Result Declaration: The NEET UG 2025 examination was held across the country on May 4, 2025, and since then, countless candidates have been anxiously awaiting the results. Although the official answer key has been published, the announcement of the results was postponed due to court-imposed restrictions following several student petitions. Nevertheless, the Madras High Court has now dismissed all such petitions, allowing the National Testing Agency (NTA) to proceed with the result announcement.
NEET UG Result Declaration: Result Stay Lifted by Madras High Court.
The delay in the declaration of results originated from petitions submitted by students at two major examination centers where power outages occurred during the exam on May 4. Consequently, candidates approached both the Madras High Court and the Indore High Court, requesting either a re-examination or the cancellation of results for the affected centers.
However, in a notable development, the Madras High Court has rejected all petitions and granted permission for the NTA to continue with the result declaration. According to sources, the results are expected to be released by June 14, although the agency is now free to announce them at any time prior to that.
Court Terms Petitions Baseless.
The court indicated that temporary power outages do not provide a legitimate basis for re-examination or for delaying results for millions of students. Emphasizing that over 22 lakh candidates participated in NEET UG 2025, the court stressed that the ambitions of such a vast number of students cannot be hindered due to localized incidents affecting only a few.
