The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification advising candidates to utilize their APAAR ID along with Aadhaar-based information during the application procedure. Its also recommended that applicants update their Aadhaar details to facilitate a smooth verification process, ensure successful registration, and uphold the integrity of the examination.

This initiative follows the NEET UG paper leak incident that occurred last year. As stated in the NTA notification, “In accordance with the guidelines provided by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, the integration of APAAR ID with NEET UG 2025 is compulsory. Candidates, encouraged to employ their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication throughout both the application and examination phases.”
