NEET UG Registrations Begins: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to initiate the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 shortly. Eligible candidates will be able to apply online at the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, once the application form becomes available.
To register, candidates must first access the NTA website and provide the necessary personal and educational information. Subsequently, they, required to upload the relevant documents and scanned images, pay the application fee, and submit the form. It is advisable for applicants to download and retain a copy of the submitted form for their records.
A significant update for NEET UG 2025 is the elimination of optional questions in Section B. Candidates taking the exam will no longer have the option to answer additional questions or benefit from the extra time that, implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam format will revert to its structure prior to the pandemic.
The optional section, initially introduced as a temporary solution to the challenges posed by the pandemic and remained in effect through 2024. However, beginning in 2025, NEET UG will consist of 180 mandatory questions—45 each in physics and chemistry, and 90 in biology. Candidates will have a total of 180 minutes to complete the examination.
