New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a crucial set of last-minute guidelines for candidates taking the NEET UG 2025 examination. With more than 2.3 million students registered this year, the NTA emphasizes the importance of adhering to these instructions to facilitate a smooth and equitable examination process.
NTA Issues Last-Minute Instructions for Candidates: Reporting Time & Entry Guidelines
Candidates are required to arrive at their designated exam centers between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Entry to the examination hall will be strictly closed at 1:30 pm, and no latecomers will be permitted under any circumstances. The NEET UG 2025 examination is scheduled to take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Documents to Bring
Candidates must present the following documents at the exam center:
1. NEET UG 2025 Admit Card – to be downloaded from the official NTA website.
2. One passport-sized photograph – identical to the one submitted with the application form (for attachment to the attendance sheet).
3. A valid photo identification – such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID, or any other government-issued ID.
It is recommended to bring an additional copy of the admit card and photo ID for precaution.
Dress Code Regulations
To ensure transparency and security, the NTA has implemented a strict dress code:
โข Boys: Should wear light-colored half-sleeve shirts or t-shirts along with trousers. Pockets, zippers, large buttons, or badges should be avoided.
โข Girls: Should opt for light clothing without intricate embroidery, brooches, or hairpins. Full-sleeve garments are not permitted.
โข Footwear: Only slippers or sandals with low heels are acceptable. Shoes are prohibited.
Candidates are advised against wearing jewelry, metal items, watches, or any electronic devices.

Permitted Items Inside the Exam Hall
Candidates may bring only the following items:
โข Admit Card with self-declaration (Undertaking) printed on it (in black)
โข Valid Photo ID โข Transparent ballpoint pen (blue or black)
โข Transparent water bottle
โข Passport-sized photograph
โข Hand sanitizer (50 ml, in a transparent bottle)
All electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices, are strictly prohibited.
COVID-19 Guidelines (If applicable)
Although general restrictions related to COVID-19 have been relaxed, candidates are encouraged to uphold personal hygiene, wear masks when necessary, and avoid crowding at entry and exit points.
