NTA Adds New Rule: The application process for NEET UG 2025 commenced on February 7, 2025, at the official website, www.neet.nta.nic.in. The deadline for completing the application, set for March 7, 2025. Additionally, the date for the NEET 2025 examination has confirmed as May 4, 2025.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a new regulation to address tie situations in NEET UG 2025 scores when the existing criteria are insufficient for resolution. According to the NEET UG information bulletin, if a tie remains unresolved after applying the current seven-point method. An independent expert committee will intervene to resolve the issue through a random selection process.

NTA Adds New Rule are as follows:
In instances where two or more candidates achieve identical marks or percentile scores in NEET (UG) 2025. The inter-se merit will determined in the following order:
- Candidates with higher marks or percentile scores in Biology (Botany & Zoology) will prioritized, followed by,
- Candidates with higher marks or percentile scores in Chemistry, followed by,
- Candidates with higher marks or percentile scores in Physics, followed by,
- Candidates with a lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers across all subjects,
- Candidates with a lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers specifically in Biology (Botany & Zoology), followed by,
- Candidates with a lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Physics, followed by,
- If all the above criteria are exhausted and a tie still exists. It will resolved through a random process with the assistance of an independent expert committee.
