NEET UG Exam Date Latest News: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the NEET-UG 2025 examination is set to occur on May 4, 2025, utilizing a pen and paper format (OMR based). This information, disseminated through a public notice issued on January 16, 2025. Aimed at clarifying the examination’s format, structure, and eligibility requirements.
In conjunction with this announcement, the NTA has advised candidates to verify that their Aadhaar details. And APAAR IDs are current prior to the initiation of the NEET UG 2025 registration process.

- NEET UG as a Unified Entrance Examination: The NEET UG 2025 will maintain its role as the standardized entrance examination for undergraduate medical education. Including MBBS programs, across all medical institutions in India. In accordance with section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
- Expanded Scope for Alternative Medicine and Homeopathy: The examination will also be relevant for admissions into BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS programs under the Indian System of Medicine. Additionally, it encompasses BHMS (Homeopathy) courses regulated by the National Commission for Homeopathy, promoting inclusivity across various medical fields.
- Further, eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Nursing: Candidates aspiring to join the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for the four-year B.Sc Nursing courses in Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals must pass the NEET UG 2025. Their scores will utilized for the selection of eligible candidates.
- At last, confirmation of Pen and Paper Examination Mode: The NTA has affirmed that the NEET UG 2025 will conducted in a pen and paper format (OMR based). The examination will occur in a single day and single shift. Ensuring a uniform as well as transparent process for all candidates.
