- +4 marks awarded for each correct answer.
- -1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Approximately 1 minute allocated per question, highlighting the importance of time management.
The NTA has stated, “The question paper and exam duration have been aligned with the pre-COVID format to ensure uniformity and simplicity.”

The decision to maintain the NEET 2025 in a pen-and-paper format has generated discussion among medical professionals, who are advocating for a transition to an online format. They have pointed out several benefits, including:
