NEET Passing Marks for MBBS

Passing Marks: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 on May 4, utilizing a pen-and-paper format. This examination aims to select candidates for undergraduate medical programs for the academic year 2025-26. The agency has also confirmed that the scores obtained in NEET UG 2025 will be instrumental in determining admissions to Bachelor of Dental Studies (BDS) and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH) programs.

In a revision of the NEET UG 2025 exam structure, the testing agency has eliminated the optional questions from Section B. Consequently, the NEET UG 2025 question paper will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions. The physics and chemistry sections will each contain 45 questions, while the biology section will comprise 90 questions. Each section will valued at 180 marks, resulting in a total possible score of 720 marks, consistent with previous years. The marking scheme for NEET UG 2025 remains the same, with students receiving four marks for each correct answer and incurring a penalty of one mark for each incorrect answer. No marks will awarded for questions that unanswered or unattempted.
