Madhya Pradesh to Launch New Ayurveda Colleges: The state of Madhya Pradesh is actively advancing the use of Hindi as a medium of instruction in higher education. Following the recent introduction of MBBS and engineering programs conducted in Hindi. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that Unani medicine will also offered in Hindi within the state. Furthermore, plans are underway to establish 11 new Ayurvedic colleges.
During a three-day Arogya Mela and National Seminar held at Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurveda College and Institute in Bhopal. CM Yadav emphasized the state’s dedication to promoting Hindi in educational settings. He remarked, “Madhya Pradesh has taken the lead in utilizing Hindi as the medium for teaching various medical disciplines, including allopathy. Now, Unani medicine will also instructed in Hindi.”
The Chief Minister further highlighted the significance of Ayurveda. Describing it as a genuine and comprehensive approach to achieving well-being throughout all stages of life. He reiterated the ancient principle of “Jivete Sharad Shatam,” which advocates for a century of healthy living through Ayurveda. Additionally, he pointed out the global interest in Ayurveda. Asserting that India serves as its ambassador, with the world eager to embrace this age-old tradition.
In alignment with the initiatives under the New Education Policy, universities have authorized to offer a variety of courses. Including those in Ayurvedic medicine, paramedical fields, and nursing programs.
Key announcements included:
- The establishment of 11 new Ayurvedic colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
- Plans for the creation of the All India Ayurveda Institute in Ujjain.
- State support for the establishment of Ayurvedic product manufacturing units.
CM Yadav emphasized that nature provides solutions for all health issues and that Ayurveda, in conjunction with yoga and botanical knowledge. Presents a profound system for health maintenance and quality of life enhancement.
